Lane Departure 2
“This vehicle has driver-assist functions and warning lamps in the electronic instrument cluster located in the driver's display area. Randomly and unpredictably a group of warning lights -- "check blind spot" collision alarm, lane safety indicator light, triangle-shaped general alert icon -- all activate simultaneously for no apparent reason. The unpredictability creates a serious distraction to the driver and potentially unsafe reactions which could result in damages and injuries. There are numerous references to this problem on the internet, indicating this is a widespread safety issue for H…”

“I like how tesla has created an audible and visual clue to know when the Assistive functions enable, engage and they disengage. With this hyundai, there is a steering Icon, that lights up in the instrument cluster, that we should search to confirm its engaged, and then when it disengages, it just disappears without any warining or notification that the driver is in control.”

“The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH on the highway, there was an abnormal booming sound coming from the sunroof, and they discovered that the sunroof glass had shattered. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The sunroof was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer to be replaced. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000.”

“I had a flat tire with 1000 miles on the vehicle. I lowered the spare tire and retrieved the jack from the trunk. I placed the jack under the proper spot on the vehicle. I raised the jack and the threaded rod on the jack bent. When this happened I could no longer raise or lower the vehicle.I called AAA and they came out to replace the tire. At this point the jack is useless and Hyundai said it is a Courtesy that I have the Jack”

How we read this (methodology)
How to read this: raw complaint totals are not a clean reliability score — a model year with more cars sold, or simply more years on the road, accumulates more complaints regardless of how good it is. So this page leans on two signals that are not distorted by sales volume: the share of complaints falling on each vehicle system (the breakdown above) and NHTSA's own crash / fire / injury / death flags. When we compare model years of the same model, we normalise by years on the road (complaints ÷ vehicle age) rather than comparing raw totals. Age-normalised, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade draws about 124.0 complaints per year on the road, ranking 1 of 5 among the Hyundai Palisade model years we have ingested (1 = most complaints per year on road).
Before you buy this Hyundai Palisade
Don't buy on the strength of a problems page alone. Check the exact VIN of the car you're looking at. The open recalls are free, and the full $19 safety report pulls every complaint, safety rating and a downloadable PDF for that one vehicle.
