Unknown Or Other 1
“On 1/13/2026 while driving on the 91 freeway near Long Beach California we heard a load Pop sound and then felt some air and outside notice in the car . Pulled over shortly and saw a large hole in the rear sun window with cracked glass everywhere. . Made an appointment at Penske Cadillac and a few days later they are checking to see if it’s covered under warranty. Also filled a claim with AAA . There was absolutely no rock or debris involved.”

How we read this (methodology)
How to read this: raw complaint totals are not a clean reliability score — a model year with more cars sold, or simply more years on the road, accumulates more complaints regardless of how good it is. So this page leans on two signals that are not distorted by sales volume: the share of complaints falling on each vehicle system (the breakdown above) and NHTSA's own crash / fire / injury / death flags. When we compare model years of the same model, we normalise by years on the road (complaints ÷ vehicle age) rather than comparing raw totals. Age-normalised, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 draws about 3.3 complaints per year on the road, ranking 5 of 8 among the Cadillac XT5 model years we have ingested (1 = most complaints per year on road).
