On August 8, 2025, between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., while driving on Mopac (Loop 1), a heavily traveled highway in Austin, Texas, the vehicle abruptly experienced an overheating issue without any prior warning. The engine rapidly lost power, causing the vehicle to become unstable in traffic. “was driving on the highway to a friends house, while i was driving a another vehicle was telling me to pull over and that there was smoke and fire underneath the car, i pulled over and crossed the bridge where there was light, once i got across i got out of the car and saw fire coming from the hood, i tried to put it out and that didn't work, so the good Samaritan who told me to pull over told me to get my son and get in her car because there was no way to save the car. LES SCHWAB CHECKED THE ALIGNMENT AND SAID IT WAS IN FACTORY SPECIFICATIONS. THEY SWAPPED THE RIGHT AND LEFT FRONT TIRES, AND IT STILL PULLS TO THE LEFT. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. MY CAR HAS 19, 000 MILES ON IT AND IS STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM.”
