My husband can not get to the kids at all as he is well over 6 foot and can not fit. I'm tryi…”

Engine 5

“I went into the Dodge place for my routine oil change on 2/3/26. While waiting, it was discovered by a technician that I had a very bad oil leak. This is very alarming to me. One reason is, there were no signs that I had an oil leak. A few examples: my oil sensor light did not come on, no oil spots recognized on concrete, or no smell of possible oil burning. The Dodge automotive technician determined the cause to be my engine oil cooler. Engine oil leaked all over everything under the housing (can provide a video). Another reason this alarms me is that this particular part is not covered under…”

“the sliding doors and sometimed the trunk door on this van unlocl and szlf open randomly. I took it to a mechanic and they said that it is the actuator failing. Dodge knows that this is a problem and extended the warranty, but the dealership in south audtin is difficult to work with. THIS JUSTIFIED A FULL RECALL BECAUSE THE DOORS COULD JUST SELF OPEN WHENEVER AND SOMEONE COULD FLY OUT OF THE VAN”

I DID THIS BY ACCIDENT AND HAD A DIFFICULT TIME GETTING MY FINGER FREE WHILE TRYING TO STEER THE VAN. ALSO THE SPACE AROUND THE HORN BUTTON IS SUCH IF YOU HAVE BUTTONS ON A SPORT'S JACKET THOSE BUTTONS CAN GET CAUGHT UNDER THE HORN BUTTON AND MAKES CONTROLLING THE STEERING WHEEL ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. SO WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL IF ANY OF THESE CONDITIONS HAPPEN YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE THE CONTROL OF THE STEERING THAT ONE WOULD NEED. I…”

How we read this (methodology)

How to read this: raw complaint totals are not a clean reliability score — a model year with more cars sold, or simply more years on the road, accumulates more complaints regardless of how good it is. So this page leans on two signals that are not distorted by sales volume: the share of complaints falling on each vehicle system (the breakdown above) and NHTSA's own crash / fire / injury / death flags. When we compare model years of the same model, we normalise by years on the road (complaints ÷ vehicle age) rather than comparing raw totals. Age-normalised, the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan draws about 5.0 complaints per year on the road, ranking 8 of 9 among the Dodge Grand Caravan model years we have ingested (1 = most complaints per year on road).
