“The oil cooler is plastic why when it holds oil and when it heats up that makes plastic expand then cools and makes it decompress. This is done over and over again, of coarse this will cause a major repair job. That the owner should not have to expense out of pocket because we did not design the car. Also this defect is not aware until you years into owning the vehicle. This is crazy and we need a recall. I was at Firestone getting alignment and was told i have a issuse brewing.”

Back Over Prevention 1
“The vehicle's LCD screen has become delaminated which causes the control of the radio, air conditioning, navigation, and other features controlled by the "radio" portion of the car to become dysfunctional. The car will randomly beep, change air temperatures, start navigation, cause the loss of hands-free communication. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc.). This appears from Chrysler Forums to be an issue among a large group of Chrysler 300 Year Model 2017-20…”

How we read this (methodology)
How to read this: raw complaint totals are not a clean reliability score — a model year with more cars sold, or simply more years on the road, accumulates more complaints regardless of how good it is. So this page leans on two signals that are not distorted by sales volume: the share of complaints falling on each vehicle system (the breakdown above) and NHTSA's own crash / fire / injury / death flags. When we compare model years of the same model, we normalise by years on the road (complaints ÷ vehicle age) rather than comparing raw totals. Age-normalised, the 2017 Chrysler 300 draws about 8.2 complaints per year on the road, ranking 6 of 14 among the Chrysler 300 model years we have ingested (1 = most complaints per year on road).
