“The contact owns a 2016 Jeep Compass. The contact stated while driving 35-40 MPH, the vehicle began to stall. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle started sputtering. The contact pulled into a gas station and refueled the vehicle. The contact was able to continue driving; however, the failure reoccurred while driving. The electronic throttle control indicator warning light was illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 104,000.”

“TAKATA RECALL. AT RANDOM MOMENTS WITHOUT HITTING THE WIPPER SWITCH AT ALL THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL COME ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. SOMETIMES IF I TURN MY BLINKER ON WHICH IS A OPPOSITE STICK THEY WILL ACTIVATE. WHEN THIS DOES HAPPEN MY LIGHTS WILL FLICKER VERY BRIEFLY. I HAVE HAD NO KIND OF ALTERATIONS DONE TO THE VEHICLE COSMETIC OR ELECTRICAL SO I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS CAUSING THIS. AND YES EVERY TIME IT HAPPENS IT'S WHILE THE VIC IS IN MOTION.”

“Electrical components failed car shut down while driving and put me and my daughters at risk I had to have a part with the lightning bolt that come on the dash replaced but that's all the inspection there was no warning only flashing engine light and it shut down it first happened June 2025 and has happened 3 times since. Also the cruise control when set will accelerate on its own and I have to hit the button multiple times and the brake to get it to stop and shut off.”
