“Numerous difficulties have arisen during the process of driving on multiple occasions. The tablet/Radio continues to reset, and the traction control sensor light continues to illuminate. I have communicated with the GMC service center on several occasions, and each time, no issues were found. During an oil change at another dealership, no service recommendations were mentioned, yet a list of offset services was listed on Mopar. As I continued to drive, I noticed that the speed controls were limiting speeds, necessitating self-serviced accelerated drives. This has been ongoing for some time whi…”

“My Yukon Denali XL GM engine that was put in on 07/2022 has already failed. It failed as I was driving down highway at 65 mile per hour. It failed on 04/12/2025. I paid almost $7,000 to have my engine replace due to the original engine failing in early 2022. Now the engine that I paid thousands of dollars for has already failed and has no compression in cylinder 4. MY INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER IT (I DID GET A ESTIMATE TO FIX COVER AND CUSHION) AND THEY SUGGESTED GM SHOULD INVESTIGATE AND FIX THE SEAT DUE TO A MAJOR DEFECT. My door locks keep locking and unlocking on the own while driving, all my electrical in my car dim and keep resetting, my gauges are going all over the place. My car will turn itself off. While stopped at a red light, it seems to want to go on its own. While not running, I get in to leave, and my key at times don’t want to turn over. How we read this (methodology)

How to read this: raw complaint totals are not a clean reliability score — a model year with more cars sold, or simply more years on the road, accumulates more complaints regardless of how good it is. So this page leans on two signals that are not distorted by sales volume: the share of complaints falling on each vehicle system (the breakdown above) and NHTSA's own crash / fire / injury / death flags. When we compare model years of the same model, we normalise by years on the road (complaints ÷ vehicle age) rather than comparing raw totals. Age-normalised, the 2011 GMC Yukon draws about 24.9 complaints per year on the road, ranking 6 of 15 among the GMC Yukon model years we have ingested (1 = most complaints per year on road).
